Only 8.86% of YouTubers do this…

After I had my first kiddo I had my own photography business for a while.

I wanted to give kids more of a say in how they were photographed. Bring your favorite book, stuffed animal, wear the outfit YOU want to wear. Let them run the shoot and let them feel like a star for a day.

My doula friends were renting a space downtown and needed to rent out some office spaces. (If you’re looking for the YouTube thing… it’s in the PS. This email is long… but good… but you can scroll if ya want.😂)

Even though I wasn’t really ready for a space financially in my business – I jumped at the opportunity. And signed a year long lease. 😳

It was only $250 a month – but the community we were building in that space was worth so much more than that!

I also photographed newborns and births, so I was right in the mix with my ideal clients and I was able to host events like the monthly Mommy and Me mornings.

My daughter was about 6 months old at the time – so not only were these folks my ideal clients – but they also became friends and support for that first year of motherhood.

So, lemme ask you this: who’s your community?

Amazing things are afoot in Content Playhouse, and I’m so excited about what’s going on in there.

One member Suzanne talked about her YouTube channel the other day in a meeting. She mentioned that she has over 400 followers and it’s about quality over quantity for her.

She’s making videos she’s passionate about on a consistent schedule that works for her.

So she’s not stressing about how to game the system to grow super fast, and more importantly: not getting in her own head if she doesn’t grow overnight.

Because that’s what we do right?

We post one or two videos and think, “No one’s watching… I better buy a course to tell me what to do.” Or maybe you start thinking you need to switch platforms altogether – which has you back at square one.

Or you hire yet another strategist to access the secret to success. You’ve spent thousands of dollars, and you’re not getting anywhere.

I’ve been there, done that. And it’s a soul-sucking cycle.

In Content Playhouse we break that cycle.

You get to market your business in ways that don’t feel like such an uphill battle. You get to actually have fun making content you’re proud of that positions you as a leader in your industry.

And you have an entire community to support you. They’re all pretty cool if you ask me. 🥰
