Can You Give Yourself Permission to Make Less Content?

During my launch last week I added a pink letter to each email. If you kept track and added them all together, you revealed a secret word that scored you a free 30-minute 1:1 strategy session with me when you joined Content Playhouse!

The secret word…. EXHALE.

just breathe, words, pink bricks, polka dots, bright colors

Remember that song in Grey’s Anatomy way back when. I think there was a bomb in the hospital? Oh man, remember Denny? Then he was the bad guy in Walking Dead?!?

See… sometimes I watch things other than Real Housewives. (Well, I used to, those references are pretty old.)

Deanna! Reel it in, you’re writing an email.

Why did I choose exhale? Because I think we’re all putting WAY too much pressure on ourselves to create constantly in the hopes of easy money coming on the back end of all that sweat equity.

Take this quick quiz. In your head answer yes or no to these questions:

1️⃣ Are you a freelancer, coach, or consultant?

2️⃣ Do you actually like working with your clients?

3️⃣ Could you live a full and happy life with 250k or less a year?

If you answered yes to all of those questions, you DEFINITELY don’t need to be cranking out content like it’s your job.

Because it’s not. 😵 Your job is working with your clients & growing a business that can comfortably support you and your family.

So EXHALE. Take a few deep breaths and just ease up on the pressure to make so much content.

You can slow down and actually enjoy the journey of growing your business.

SNAIL UP > SCALE UP

It’s about building a sustainable business.

(I just made that up! 😂)

But… I’m not saying just make less content. I’m saying make less content so you can make that content exponentially cooler and actually drive people to work with you.

The content that you make has to be strategic, engaging, and set you up to be the person people are stoked to work with.

But making less, gives you space to do that.
