Static 9 Grid Update

It’s been almost 8 months to the day since I put my Static 9 Grid up on Instagram.

I thought it would be interesting to let you know if I’m still into it.

The short answer: Heck YES! 💥

I haven’t had to worry about posting to my grid for 8 whole months which is freaking amazing. And if you wanna learn about my approach to it all, you can read the full guide to creating an Instagram 9 grid >

And, I’ve had some of the highest income months in that time period.

I think it’s because of 2 things:

#1) It looks SUPER COOL. (not so humble brag 😬) So people who find me are like, “Woah… what’s this girl about?” And then they check it all out.

#2) Because of the way I’ve set it up, they know EXACTLY what I do and how I can help them. They can see lots of examples of my work and all the testimonials from my happy clients in one place. It’s like a portfolio of my best work. So it really drives home how fun it could be to work with me.

I didn’t stop showing up. I just super-optimized my grid so it acts like a mini-website for me while I focus on other things.

Things like…

  • Having more coffee chats and really connecting with other like-minded business owners
  • Being a guest on other people’s podcasts – Like this week on The Know, Like, & Trust Show with Britney Gardner talking about… Static 9 Grids! 😬
  • And being able to (mostly) get off work at 2pm when my kid gets home from school

You might feel pressure to be everywhere. But it’s really just not sustainable.

And I think if you give yourself permission to make LESS content, you could make the content you DO make that much better. Ya know?

💣 Truth Bomb: If you’re just making content to do it and check it off your list, it’s probably not that good. 😳

So if you were expecting to hear about my analytics, and then to tell you what to do… that’s not my thing.

All I know is that I’ve been steadily increasing my followers on the platform, and connecting with new people in stories and DMs. So for me, that’s all I need to know. 🤷‍♀️

And… I’m working behind the scenes on a new updated 9 grid!

As I work with more clients on creating their grids, I’ve come up with fun new ways to use carousels to expand on the ideas within the grid and I want that for mine too! It’s gonna be EPIC.

Here’s a sneak peek of some of my favorite elements from it…

I’m working through some other changes in my business too.

  • New offers coming soon!
  • A new membership launching this fall!
  • And a new name + cover + direction for the podcast!

My point is that 8 months of freedom from feeling like I NEED to create posts and write captions for my Instagram grid has freed up the mental space and energy that I needed to do the things that are really making a difference for me in my business. (You know, that thing where we have to actually make money in our business too.)

So if you’re interested in chatting about a nine grid, hit me up!

They’re still one of my favorite things ever to make for people.

Until next week…

Client Feature:

Static 9 grids will free up enough of your time to actually make connections. See examples here.

Here’s a fun static 9 grid I did for Christina Lenkowski. She recently came back for some matching ones for a team member which I also think is a brilliant use of this idea. Every 9 Grid I create gets matching highlight covers and some carousel posts for testimonials, media features, podcast interviews, or whatever else we can come up with. It really is the coolest thing ever.
